Lacking representations of all seven women, I had to find an alternative route. I created rigged 3D models for each of the ladies, distinguishing their identities through details of 1860s fashion. These figures were designed to contrast with the 2D gentlemen in their lives—depicted as scientific trading cards—turning the entire project into a VR board game. The result maps the arduous paths these women took to pursue education, while also acknowledging the many “great men of science” who supported them along the way.
